- Creator Craig Black has admitted that the Midori Empire was inspired by the Nazi Party (with the influence being most obvious in the uniforms worn by the Midori Numbers). He also admits to taking cues from the Neo-Nazi group formed by the protagonist of Pink Floyd's rock opera and film The Wall.
